Default SLP Longtubes???

Has anyone used these slp long tubes they look kinda odd all twisted and stuff just wondering if anyone is using them if so give me some opinions. They are the only headers i have seen with 1 7/8 primartys unstead of 1 3/4 primarys. Thanks in advance

I really haven't heard too many good things about them, I run FLP's on my car and love the, there are many good new headers companies out, I would try QTP or Kooks if I had to do it again...

QTP makes headers with 1 7/8 tubes. I have QTP headers with 1 3/4 tubes, man these things fit great!

SLP is generally viewed as being at the bottom of the heap. I think you'd be better of with QTP, Kooks, or FLP.

when you guys mention QTP which header are you exactly talking about?

They have ones from $800 all the way to $1350 (both prices are only for the headers alone!)

The 1 3/4ths are probably the cheapers ones, I would run those unless you plan to go to a big C.I. motor in the future...

I'm running SLP lt's. The fit and finish is great. Everything went to together like a glove. They still look brand spanking new. I noticed a quite an increase in power that is for sure. I haven't had a chance to dyno as of yet. But I have seen plenty of dyno's with guys using slp lt's and put down good hp + tq. The same goes for other headers. Some cars respond better than others to certain mods. In all I'm very satisfied them no complaints.

These headers are constructed from 409 stainless steel and feature 1-3/4" primary tubes flowing into a 3" 4-into-1 collector. They're fully compatible with all stock emissions-control equipment and use OEM flanges for a perfect fit and proper bolt retention.


I got this off of SLP's website. I was wondering where you saw that SLP had 1 7/8 primarys?

Mine are OK I guess. I don't know if I'd be clearly passed the 400rwhp mark with another brand. Perhaps.

I have the SLP LTs...they fit nicely and look great. However, the ground clearance is REALLY POOR with these headers. My car is slightly lowered, about 1", and they scrape everywhere. Also, they don't perform as well as others do. This winter, I'm changing to KOOKS...
