Sounds kinda like a bent pushrod. Just out of curiousity why did you have it in second?

sounds fine at idle and i dont feel any miss when im on it.
i did have a problem on my 98 supercharged gtp when i would hit the limiter it would almost allways fry a plug wire i dont know why but it would and i have cheap duralast wires on the car now.
ill go trade em for a new set and see if that fixes it.

I doubt it that it's the plug wires. My guess is it's a push rod or in your head. Would really suck to be a push rod tho, kind of a bitch for a small somewhat stupid mistake. Good luck and let us know if you find something.

hitting the rev limiter is not going to magically break your car. mechanically over reving like going from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th will **** it up (bent pushrods). Either its all in your head, or there is an underlying problem not necessarily related to hitting the rev limiter. Honestly I think your just paranoid.

well i went ahead and swaped the plug wires, cleaned the maf, cleaned the iac motor and went over every thing then i disconnected the battery for about 20 min to reset the idle and it seems to run better and smother.
maybe i just pay to much attention to little noises and vibrations.
thanks guys for the help.
