Vacuum Leak??
Vacuum Leak?? I just recently put my engine back together and installed it in my car. It's a 2001 m6 TA, with a 98 cam. I have an idling problem. The car sounds like it has a very healthy cam, but it is a stock cam from a different year. The car hunts for idle all the time and sometimes even stalls out when returning to idle. My question is could this be a vacuum leak? I have checked all my hoses but haven't taken the manifold back off to check my seals. The car still runs strong through the rpms and has plenty of power. Does anyone have a clue??

Spray everything down with carb cleaner when the idle speed changes where you've sprayed, you've found the leak if you have one. Check your PCV system routing, etc. It could be electrical also. Were you certain about all of the sensors being hooked up correctly? Any wires being burnt or were damaged? All of the vaccum lines plugged in or capped off at the back of the manifold? Could be anything.
