Need Alt. Opinions Since my alt is dying, at least i think it is..... https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...me-inside.html
I was wondering what alt i should go with to replace my stock one? Now keep in mind, i still have my stock monsoon set up and stock alt pulley too..
Maybe at one point i will do the whole stero upgrade but right now i am happy how it is.
So should i stick with a stock replacement alt? Or should i go with higher amp output alt? If stock where can i get a good quality one? Same thing for a higher amp alt?

In my old gen 1 days all the aftermarket/rebuilt I used sucked and failed. I would go new Delco or at least Delco rebuild. IIRC the last rebuilt GM unit I replaced was actually a Delphi (rebuild) not a Delco... A friend with a 96 Z-28 had 3 discount alt crap him in 6 months... they were all under warranty but what a PIA....
