98 T/A exhaust different from 2000?
98 T/A exhaust different from 2000? well i decided after getting a new y-pipe and cats from a fellow member i would gut my old cats and install the y-pipe last night. low and behold the exhaust is different. the driver side is a the same, however the passenger side is entirely different. on mine, the cat is actually in the exhuast pipe right behind the transmission, and the newer style has it right off the manifold as in the driver side. just letting people know, havent found anything on this haha. there isnt enough clearance between the cat and floor board to make it work. i bet if i change the passenger side manifold it would work, but if i change it, might as well pony up for some new LT headers
98-99, 00, and 01-02 are the 3 different types of exhaust confugrations.
98-99 are stainless manifolds with EGR, with the pass cat under the hump
00 is cast iron manifolds with EGR, pass cat on manifold
01-02 are cast iron manifiolds without EGR, pass cat on manifold.
You should be able to swap 00-02 parts around, but 98-99 do not interchange.

thanks Ryan, read the "Read this" exhaust note just now lol. at the end it says they arent interchangable without welding, i have a local muf. shop down the street from my repair shop. i dont do welding so will just walk it down there for em to fuse em together
