Default FLP Headers

Hi, I own a 2001 Camaro SS, A4, T-tops. I just had my GMMG exhaust system installed and it is AWESOME.
I was thinking about ordering the FLP Header package, but what else is needed? I was told O2 sensors bungs or something. Please instruct, thanx

FLP header gaskets kind of suck so you might want to replace them with Fel-Pro header gaskets (I had leaking issues with them). Also you might want to go with Stage 8 locking headerbolts (with these bolts, you won't have to retighten them as time goes by) to replace the ones FLP supplies. In addition, you would have to get 2 O2 simulators and an oxygen sensor extension.

I used stock gaskets originally and stock header bolts, didn't have any problems, stage 8's are nice though just for peace of mind...

Just completed my installation a couple of weeks ago. Couple of tips: If not using a lift, jack the car up as high as possible. You'll need this height for the passenger side header. As for gaskets, MTI told me to use the OEM metal gaskets. I bought new ones. I think they were $15 from the dealer. You will need two O2 sims for the rear and at least one 12 inch extension for the passenger side front. I bought two extensions to ensure I had plenty of wire. Buy a 10 mm ratcheting wrench. I bought one from sears for $18 and it saved my a$$. You'll see when you go for the rear exhaust manifold bolts. The header install was the easy part. I had a hard time getting the y-pipe to match up to my borla. I had to cut some of the I pipe. It took me half a day to adjust it so it wouldn't hit the floor. If you adjust it as far away from the floor board and it still hits, take a pry bar and bend it down a little. That is what FLP recommended to me over the phone. It works!! Overall, a time consuming installations, but once you crank it up, you'll have a huge smile on you face....

Oh ok. I'm having it installed professionally, a shop called Barr's Muffler. I'm in Kaneohe, Hawaii. It's got the best warranty on the island.
Anyhow, the reason I ask is just to make sure that they'll have everything they need to install, so that they won't charge me for extra parts.
Additionally, my car is still under warranty from the dealership, so I'd like the setup to appear as stock as it can look like with this Header set. I've gotten permission to have it added on so long as it doesn't look 'illegal'. their words. Thanx, if you've got anymore advice, I'd appreciate it.

I am installing FLPs right now. They went in like butter. FLP told me that I would only need one o2 extension, but I ended up needing two. I also had to cut about 3" off of my 2OTL I-pipe to get things lined up.

You cut 3 inches off your I pipe??? I thought it came with a Y pipe, are you not gonna use it? Sorry, not very tech savy, please explain.

Yes, I am using the y-pipe that FLP supplies in the kit. They warned me that I might have to cut my I-pipe when I told him that I was going to install it myself. I have read others that have had to cut their y-pipe too, especially Borla users.
