yes, i have the cme, and my buddy has the straight tips.... my sounds deeper, and is louder. i couldnt tell you why, but if you know we would love to know....btw, our cars are exact!!

I noticed that the CME is louder on my 02 SS than my dual dual on my 99 SS. Same muffler but different tips.

Must have something to due with the sound waves exiting at the center and bouncing off on another. I'm no physics major, but my cme tips with the gmmg is way louder and different than without any tips.
