2000 Trans AM wont start... HELP PLEASE

2000 Trans AM wont start... HELP PLEASE We have a 2000 Trans Am with the LS1 in it... The car will not start right now. The key will turn over and everything in the car comes up (lights, guages,radio etc.) The engine will not start however. We have replaced the ignition switch and the neutral safety switch and that didnt work. The security light flashes on and off as well. We got the car started by taking a screwdriver and jumping the selonoid and it runs and we also wired a push button start directly to the starter and it will start and run and is driveable. However the car wont start with the key.
Whats been done: New neutral safety switch, new ignition switch, resetting the remote, leaving the key on for 20 mins to reset. cleaning the key. Thats what we've tried so far does anyone else have any ideas or has dealt wth this before? any help would be great.
