Default Question about removing my cats...........

I can't find my other thread about this. BUT, if I remove my Random Tech high-flows tomorrow and have straight pipes welded in, will I have any issues at all with my PCM or motor. I have to drive it until next week Tuesday and then bring it 150 miles to Orlando so the motor can be re-ringed.

Will I be OK till then?

Thanks

You wont have any problems. You will have some rasp but it wont affect the PCM or Motor. You might need some ear plugs for the trip.

Cool, thanks, I'm gonna try to get them off tomorrow then. I drove 2 1/2 hrs to Melbourne last week and both cats were glowing red hot when I pulled into my cousins house.

Will it be allot louder or just a little?

With your Headers, you will hear the difference. I dont want to say alot and let you down. You could be running open headers and that would be alot.

I'm actually hoping its not too loud. I think I'm gonna put 2 electric cutouts in there place after the car comes back, open headers for races, howd that be Hit a button and things get rediculously loud all of a sudden.

One thing I was wondering: What if only one of the cutouts opens and I didn't know it, could something get damaged if I went WOT with one side closed?
They would be installed immediately after the collectors.
