Default ??Will a Victor Jr. work for a 408+ motor??

Are the Victor Jr. runners too small to feed a 408+ motor up to say 7,000 rpm? I know the Super Victor would work better with the bigger runners, but I doubt it will fit under the hood with an intake hat on it. What about the GMPP single plane?? It is a lot lower. Does the GMPP single plane's lower height lower it's flow on a bigger motor? I would be using an Accufab 4 BBL throttle body with what ever manifold I go with.
Yes, I have a cam designed to work with a single plane manifold so that is not a concern.

Yes it will. There's plently of 400+ ci motors with this intake. If you can have it ported to match your heads and put an adapter to run a 4500 style throttle body.

We run that combo on a 408 w/ an sheetmetal elbow and it works very well we also were able to fit it all underneath the factory z28 with a little trimming.

A Vic Jr will not starve a 408. +1 on porting it out though for max performance.

Very interesting. Might just get the Jr then since it uses stock intake gaskets, is cheaper, and will fit under the hood (might still have to trim the cowl) with the 4150 4 bbl throttle body.

I'll be sticking with the 4150 Accufab. 1215cfm is more than enough. Ya know, back in the carb days 1050cfm was a Dominator .

Yes, but depending on your goals the Super Victor may be what you're looking for also.

I keep coming back to the idea of the Super Victor also. I just don't like the paper gaskets it uses, but it would require less porting work. It is more expensive and taller, but a better match for the bigger motor and with only an Accufab 4150 throttle body on top (no spacer and no N2O) and carb hat I bet it still stays under the VFN flat hood.
The cowl will not be so lucky though

Im installing my 408 now with the super victor and direct port nitrous and I have alot of cutting to do, may even loose my passenger side windsheild wiper to to the extreme cutting required. This intake is apparently 1 9/16 inch taller than the victor jr. I will even have to cut on the inside of the hood. Does anyone here have experience installing the super victor in a 4th gen f-body?
