Header Bolt Options???

What stainless header bolts are you guys using??? I tried a search but didnt really find anything. I bought a set of LPPs and need some decent stainless bolts to go with them. Also should the stock gaskets work fine or do I need to get some new ones (the car has 20,000 miles)?

Stock MLS gaskets are as good as it gets and OEM bolts reused are doing great here......

im going to try the percy spilt lock header bolts soon myself
i had always had a loose bolt problem with cylinder # 8

for Stainless get ARP header bolts. I don't know what size ls1 use. 12 point are usually good for getting a wrench on them.

Search Summit.

Gaskets, get copper or GM, and I would just get new GM ones. They're cheap, might as well have some assurance that you won't have any leaks.

I used ARP studs. Made install alot easier, have had no problems.

Hey Robbie... I did stock GM 3 layer copper gaskets.. and i got Stage 8 header locking bolts...

The 3 layer copper gaskets are just stock GM manifold gaskets...right?

Yup the 3 layer copper gaskets are GM.. I have had them on my car since 2006 when i did my QTP LTs... And Mike at WS6 Store will get those bolts to you really fast. Never once had a problem with them

Same here. Did my brother's and buddy, Dave's, cars this way as well. No troubles as of yet.

I am with the suggestion right above. The Percys are the way to go . DO NOT BUY THE STAGE 8'S THEY ARE ABSOLUTE CRAP AND RUST! I wasted my money on them I should post a pic of what they look like now. I purchased the Percy's after a total waste of money on the stage 8's.
