Egay Header install Installed the headers finally I bought them a long time ago.......
Bought mine with air and egr so I had that welded up by a friend who also added a wideband bung for me. The headers look great and the welds appear to be really good. Welding on them is not hard so I don't know what kind of stainless they are????
Anyways the install went fine, the headers slipped right in with no modification to the car and ground clearance is excellent. They are really close to the k-member in a couple spots but what long tube isn't? I don't hear any hitting and definitely can't hear it over the car unmuffled. Hopefully after the TD's are installed I won't see any changes. I'll plug in my hptuners scanner and see if I'm getting false knock when I get the chance.
NOTE....After pulling the headers out twice (not hard they slipped right in) because we were having issues getting the bolts in my dad decided to do the old school warped flange trick and cut the flange in between the two middle bolts. I didn't see any harm in it as the factory manifolds on 01-02 are already like this and sure enough they bolted in no sweat after that. So if your having problems cut the flange. The flanges are nice and thick so no worries.
Already turned a gold color and I'm going to the exhaust shop later to get the true duals installed.
I'd buy them again.
