Default tensioner pulley replacement

The tensioner pulley on my car has developed a really high pitched whine. From what ive gathered this means the bearings are gone or going. I dont need a crazy high performance tensioner, im just looking for something that wont crap the bed in 10k. Ive looked around on a few sites and ebay as well, prices seem to range from $40-$120.

any advice is appreciated.

Just replace the whole tensioner. You can find them online for $75 delivered. The spring in the tensioner has been known to lose tension over time as well.

Just replace the whole thing with a new GM part and be done with it.

Just my .02's worth.
