Pacesetter LT's Allright guys I just picked up a used set of pacesetter LT's earlier today:D for my LS1 WS6 and my questioins are::confused: 1. What would be the best fitting y-pipe out ther for these headers would any brand fit them just fine? 2. What kind of gaskets should I use? a new pair of stock gaskets or what? 3. Should I just keep the stock 02's or buy new ones? simulators or just regular ones. I know I need the O2's extensions, too. 4. What aboult the bolts, keep stock ones and put back in the same hole they came out of? 5. Will the headers and the y-pipe line up with my borla catback? |
Checkout our TSP off-road & cat y pipes, they're both brand new designs & work really really well. Use stock gm gaskets, & if money allows toss a new pair of front o2s up front. The TSP y pipe will fit to your borla catback! :) |
or get a flowmaster Y-merge and have an exhaust shop custom fab up the Y pipe with that. that will definately be the best flowing, sounding, and give the best clearance. A few friends have had the pacesetter Y and TSP Y, then switched to a custom Y-pipe using the flomaster merge and said they would never buy an off the shelf Y pipe ever again. |

Where do you get the merge from?:hijack: Here is the 3" in x 3.5" out http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-Y300350/ And the 3" in x 4" out. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-Y300400/ |
i would get a custom y pipe... and for the gasket just use your old GM gasket, or get a new one from autozone |
btw... change the motor mounts now if you plan on doing that later on... it'll save you a lot of time :) |
Pacesetter header/ORY will fit fine with the borla. I had the same set up put on my car and the guys that did said they didnt have much trouble getting everything to line up right. As for o2's I left the old ones in but the one only has about 5000 miles on it. I am also catless and not running any o2 sims. |
1. TSP ory; I just finished putting one on yesterday and it fits well. 2. Just re-use the stockers. 3. Get some rear sensors for a Corvette. They have better heaters in them and don't require extensions. 4. Stock bolts are fine; mine are a mix of new and old since I dropped a few and didn't feel like looking for them so I used some of the ones PS supplied :D 5. Yes. |
should i repaint them on the process? what paint should i use? |

I'm getting mine from Summit as soon as I get some other issued smoothed out. Here is the 3" in x 3.5" out http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-Y300350/ And the 3" in x 4" out. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-Y300400/ |
Thanks for all of your help guys. I guess I'll go with the flowmaster merge and custom fabbed Y, stock replacement gaskets, but what should I do about paint? |
Already got the flowmaster merge with a custom Y already on it but it was for a LT1 and is a 4in with a reducer to 3in. Got it damn cheap, $20 bucks:D while picking up a raptor hood for the LT1 T/A. for $200 plus the stocker. |
