I stubled upon this the other day when I was looking at old school gasser stuff on ebay. Come to find out, Hilborn is still in business and they make a few things for the LS platform. Its insanely expensive, but pretty impressive looking none the less.

I'm suprised that a search doesn't yield much on this type of setup. There's a few other companies that make this style of intake, like Harrop and Kinsler. All very expensive, but cool to look at
I can only assume that a setup like this would be like a single plane manifold, in that it would require a camshaft specifically designed for that type of setup to get any worth-while gains... if there really are any worth-while gains on an intake/tb setup that you've invested $6k in...

hahaha, awesome. the things i could do to my car with $6500-$7100. I would love to see that on someones car though, a classic hotrod look.

Man, I feel like I was born in the wrong decade. I just watched Two Lane Blacktop. It must have been badass to have been racing in the early 70's, when cars were just starting to get really fast, and speed shops kept you supplied with BBC camshafts and junkyards fed your broken rear end delimas.
There's a guy on this forum who has a chevy II with a LS1, a single plane mani, white painted headers, and a solid front axle. True gasser with an LS1!
