Default No low end power? Help :(

Gotta figure out why I have no low end power. My car pulls like a mother fkr from 4k up but till then it doesn't pull as hard. Would it be cause I have an x and sweet thunders so no much back pressure?

I mean a huge difference in the pull as soon as I hit 3700-4000 but my numbers aren't high enough to have a small cam that noone knew about when I bought the car

Maybe it is how your cam is set up. Mine really starts to pull about 3500-4000 but before that dosn't pull that hard after that watch out.

But as far as I know it's got stock internals. Previous owner said nothing about a cam.

What's your cam specs?

Went to the track tonight and they had 1/8th only open and ended up with a 8.500 at 84 on a 1.9 60'..... It was pretty muggy out cuz it rained all day. 12.8 possible?

LT's into X? Might lose some low-end torque feel. A small cam will wake it up down low, IMO, not make if feel more sluggish. If you're running a 13.4 w/ a 1.9 60', you don't have a cam. Now's the time!

Does an 8.5 come out to a 13.4 because I went 13.4 on a 2.3 60' an cut a 1.9 and went 8.5 in the 1/8th

Yeah, I saw I read wrong/too quickly after I posted that. You should be in the 12.75 territory, yes. Which isn't a bad bolt-on time or anything. I'm betting your butt dyno is feeling a loss from the LT's/X-pipe. Most LSx cars don't need a tune after LT's, but it's a fact that some really do. Mine sure as hell did. Cam and tune it and you'll be happy. Otherwise, I'm willing to bet a tune will rid you of that feeling of low-end power loss. I could be off base though. I run an LS7 clutch, but I did an engine and cam swap at the same time so I couldn't tell you if that heavy clutch takes a bite of low-end feel.

I have already tuned the car lol car put down 340/345. Maybe it is just the but dyno because my dyno sheets climb pretty evenly.

I would throw in some higher gears. This will help you out a ton. Since you are a M6, I have 4.10's in mine and it is a total differance maker. Look in to getting gears. It will help your overall et's at the track and will help your car keep in it's power band.

It is a good cheap mod.

I already have 3.73s... Are 4.10s gonna make that much more of a difference?

I would switch them out if it was me and I was having a problem with staying in my powerband. But mine isnt a DD and hardly gets driven at all. So to me it would be worth it, cause I want to enjoy what I have under the hood and the 4.10's make my powerband come up once I get on it. I also would look into getting a Fast Intake if you havent already. Your cam seems pretty big to me and the more air you can deliver the more the power band will widen.

It's a stock cam as far as I'm aware of. Stock ls1 intake is still on the car. All the car basically has is tune, lt's x sweet thunders, p&p tb, lid, Ls7 clutch and 3.73's. The dyno has no cam curve in it, and levels out around 6500. I just don't feel like the car is really pulling till 4k up to the rev limiter, but feels like it would keep pulling past the limiter

could just be in your head.

the true duals will really wake t he car up in the upper rpms....but may not do anything in the lower end.

so now you're feeling more power up top, and the same power down low....making you THINK you lost power.

likely you didn't

also very possible your tune is off.

Post your dyno sheet. It sounds like the problem is in the tune.
