Default New headers

Ok, so I am in the process of installing new headers on my ride. I have read to do away with the rear 02's and in order to extend the front 02 to get replacement Bosh 1311vette rear 02. Now does this act as a replacement for my front ones? Also since I plan on not running cats and will have down turns fabbed to dump before the axle will the stench of burnt fuel be really bad? If so should I buy a set of high flow cats? Thanks in advane for any input.

i took my cats off when i got some exhaust work done and i love it. your car will smell like an old muscle car but it doesnt bother me at all! i would install the LT's and remove the cats, then tune it and get rid of those O2 codes

the LTs will put the O2s further back and your factory wiring will not reach. You will either need O2 extensions or the bosch 13111 rear vette O2s which come with way longer wires that will reach the new location. All Y pipes i have seen dont have a spot for the rear O2s so you will lose them. You will need O2s sims to trick the computer or have the rear O2s tuned out. Otherwise you will have a service engine light. And yes generally turndowns have exhaust smell, you kinda get used to it but its still annoying.

The cheapest route would probably be getting some O2 extensions from marylandspeed and having your rear O2s tuned out. New O2 sensors and O2 sims cost quite a bit

both the front and rear o2 sensors are basically the same... they are both narrow band sensors, the only difference is the length of the wire... so getting the bosch 13111 sensors will be just fine... i would get the rear o2s tuned out when you have the car tuned that way you don't spend extra money buying o2 sims... as far as the gas smell, if you remove the cats you will always have it since the main purpose of the cat is to absorb unburned fuel to reduce emissions out of the exhaust... the quality of your tune will determine how strong the smell will be
