Exclamation Porting an LS6 Intake Manifold......Worth it????????

I have searched but it seems inconclusive. Is it possible to open up the inlet on the ls6 to say 80mm etc.?

Also, my car is a bone stock 2001 z28 but if porting my intake i will be porting the throttlebody to match the intake inlet diameter.

I would say porting is always worth it. Porting the TB seems to make a pretty big difference, if you port match the intalke to the TB it would help. I would say if you do it yourself its worth it. I your going to pay somoeone else you should save some money and sell the LS6 manifold and go with a fast 90/90 from the classified section. Just my opinion.

I thought I had heard that the material used in/for the LS6 Intakes are VERY DIFFICULT to port and polish.

I may be wring though....Just wanted to put that out there.

Go with a Fast 90/90 and sell the ls6. However Since your car is bone stock i would not expect that big of gains.
