Default 3" or 2.5"??

Im going to be running Pacesetter LT's with a true dual setup. Which would be better for stock cubes? I could run 3 inch all the way back. But I've heard of people running 2.5 inch true duals? Which would be better for a car that will see a limited amount of nitrous?
