Default stock maf on 402?

im running the stock ported maf and a wisper lid with a typhoon 85mm intake and 85mm TB on my 402..motor has 11.7.1 compression with TFS 225 heads milled to 61cc. cam is 24x 25x 6xxlift on a 113+5.. how much power is there to be made going to a 85mm lid and MAF

I am sure it is holding it back. I would just get it tuned for SD and replace the maf with a piece of pvc pipe.

ttt..im wanting something thats somewhat drivable on the street and that i can bust out some 9's at the track..might look into SD

Default 85 MAF r SD ?

YES, Ditch the MAF n go SD Tune. U won't go back !

Response of the engine is a wake up call..

I have HP tuners but I'm over in JAX n my tuner kit n O2 WB are up in KC ...

After Labor Day my TA n kit will be here, at least I hope ....

BTW, My 402 popped 482 rwhp with a 85mm maf n a fast 90/90 n 317 reworked heads 231/237 cam 115LSA. After the SD, it woke up !! Never had it back on the dyno .

what are some of the advantages and disadvantages to a SD tune. I'm wondering why everyone doesn't ditch the MAF and go right to SD if there is a big advantage to it.

i dont think a lot of tuners know how to do a good SD tune
