Default exhaust set up?

ok let me knwo what you guys think, just ordered some pacesetters and their ORY.....i plan on getting a flowmaster collector (and you get these with the 3 inlet and a 4" outlet?) then i wanna put a cut out in the I-pipe from qtp and get 4" piping out to the muffler. sound good and any recomendations? duals is out of the questions for clearance issues and that i would have to go over the axles with it i cant dump it before the axles...

If you want a full 4" catback, check out Mufflex.

Actually, a 4" system is only necessary for the "whole lot more to come" part of your sig. With your mods, 3" is fine.

But of course, it's always a good idea to plan ahead.

You won't need the cutout with that system.even with a H/C.I run a Corsa 3" catback. There is 1hp difference with the cutout open.

ok here is waht i was kinda thinking. i wanted to modify my ypipe and on each side maybe fit the one chamber flows in there and do cut outs after eahc. i want to keep the pipes comming out the rear but with a flip of the switch still be running mufflers but as duals. i know it may sound weird and i dont know if the mufflers would fit up there but let me know waht you think, this is a pic of it i know its ugly but its the basic idea. if i dont do this i was thinking about putting the muffler in the I pipe if it would fit and just replace the exhasut from the collector back .....

Have fun fitting that in there.

I have that setup with just the cutouts after the headers and it's a very tight fit. You will have terrible ground clearance as well cause of the fuel lines. I gain nothing with the cutouts open over the 4" dual out Spintech. They are purely for sound in my case.

If you're concerned about the performance and flowing well, the Spintech mufflers are supposed to be really good performers. I love mine, and they sound pretty wicked. Skarodom on cz28.com has a clip that I can send you of his 4" with a dual outlet Spintech. It sounds badass IMO.

I'm losing 20 hp to my 2.75" stock I pipe and 3" dual out Spintech. Dyno proven with cutout open. It could also be due to the sloppy welding at the inlet of the muffler. The guy installing it was a total hack.
