FAST 90 TB will only open 60%
FAST 90 TB will only open 60% Friend just put FAST 90 TB on car. He has had it for a while now. I believe it to be one of the first crappy TBs. It will only open 60% with the pedal to floor. But you can open 100% with throttle by hand. Any suggestions as to what the problem is??? Thanks

it is most likely in the linkage. the spring in the TB may need to be replaced? Most of the problems with the old TB were that they were sticking open and not only opening half way.
Are there 2 slots for the throttle cable to go? If so, is it in the bottom one?
Could also be the cable. They can be adjusted tighter. Or the cable could be worn out. The only reason a cable operated TB won't open all the way with the pedal to the floor is the cable pulling it.

The cable did cross my mind. But if it was workin properly on the stock TB it should be fine for this TB, right? Does the 90 have that much more distance to travel than the stock TB?? I'll have to check to see which slot the cable is hooked to. Thanks for all the info guys!!
