Will A Fast 92mm Help My Setup?
I first want to say I tried to do a search on this but could find what I was looking for.
So, I am looking at getting a 92mm Fast Intake and Nick Williams TB. The question I have is how much will my car benefit from this setup? I hear some people say my cam is way to small to gain anything out of a swap. Others say it will benefit, somewhere in the area of 20+ rear wheel HP.
Here is my current setup:
Lingenfelter Short Block, stock comp. ratio and bore, forged pistons
TSP Cam 228/228 576/563 on a 114
TSP Stage 2.5 Heads
Stock 26.4 injectors
Racetronix Fuel System
Currently has LS6 Intake and ported TB
4,000 Stall
Stock 10 bolt with 3:73 gears
So, would I gain anything by swapping out the stock injectors and going to a 30lb ( I already have them) and adding the Fast 92mm Intake & Nick Williams 92mm TB?
Thanks for yoru input.

any heads/cam motor will benefit from the FAST.
do a little home porting with a dremel....remove the "steps" in each runner.
i did a dyno comparison of my ls6/ported tb with a home ported FAST 90/90 this past winter.
same day, same dyno, tuned before and after (so the gain wasn't tuning) and with stock heads i picked up a solid 18rwhp and 12ftlbs torque peak. and i gained 5-10hp and torque across the board from 3000rpm and up.
never lost power
and the power peaked at 6400rpm...so its not like it was really high in the rpm band either.
thead with details and graphs.

Contact Tony Mamo from AFR. He has made some of the biggest gains from his porting on the FAST intakes and TB's. Whoever said your cam is too small to benefit from a FAST is a retard. A non-ported FAST 92 over an LS6 intake will net you 15whp no sweat. Ported, you are looking at 25-30 whp.

New parts have been ordered so we will see how much I get out of the new setup:
New Parts:
1.) Ported Fast 92mm Intake
2.) PTM 92mm TB
3.) ASP Underdrive Crank Pulley (New Belts & ARP Bolts)
4.) Adjustable Spohn Tq Arm.
5.) New MSD Wires
6.) Interceptor Scan Gauge.
I will also be swapping out my stock 26.4lb injectors for 30lb SVO Red Tops & Getting a retune.
Parts should be here around 8/4.
Thanks for everyone's input!

I only gained 12whp, with a ported fast92, 92mmTB and 85mm maff over my stock maff and bellow, stock LS6, and ported stock TB. With a big cam on stock heads, I can see having better heads showing more gain potenial. But I didnt think it was worth it for the price.

I gained 17rwhp/10rwtq. My cam is in the same ball park as yours, a tad smaller and the gains I saw were only from 4500rpm. LS6 was as good until 4500-6500. My heads are stage 3 243s. I came to the conclusion that I would benefit a lot from a bigger cam that is good from 4500-7000...and that the heads are responsible to bring the power later.
Its a Vengeance Racing ported unit with a 92mm TB.
