Maybe a little PB blaster, tap on it lightly then try it again. I have heard about hacksaw at the end and trying a flathead screw driver...good luck

BTW the weep hole on the water pump is not visible at all even with the damn thing off, the pulley itself blocks it

Our '02 Tahoe with 100K miles was leaking coolant from the waterpump area every now and then. I changed gaskets knowing that they suck over time and it still occurred. Ended up pulling the old pump off to replace it and now no more leaks. I think anything is possible as far as component life.

ya i have heard about that and am not so sure on it but that dexcool creates build up over time and there was a law suit against Dex-Cool..on how it quote
''degraded certain vehicles’ intake manifold gaskets and other engine sealability components, and that in certain other vehicles, Dex-Cool formed a rusty sludge, clogging the vehicles’ cooling systems and causing vehicles to overheat''

i heard about this through a guy at work that had a comeback after he resealed a intake manifold from leaking and then the heater core got clogged, he then did all kinds of research about dexcool cloging the heater core to fight his case on his comeback.. hehe it was pretty fun how he did it tho..

im not saying the lawsuit didnt happen, it happend because people look in their radiators and see its a tad low and top it off with water straight from the faucet or green stuff. thats where the buildup and corrosion comes from. if they would use distilled water or pure dexcool or 50/50 dex/distilled like they are supposed to, they would be fine.
