Mods play a big factor in what you will gain from a fast intake.... Stock ls6 vs Stock fast, Id say maybe 12-15whp... But as you start modding more for example like a cam, longtubes ect.... you could see maybe 20 - 25 whp.... It all depends on what your goal with the car is....
I agree with mods playing a huge part in your gains, but those examples^^^ seem WAY off. A stock for stock comparison (longblock vs longblock) I don't think you would see much if anything at all. And even with full bolt-ons, I doubt you'd see any more than 5/5 if that. But when you start to talk about heads, cam, and even more cubes, I've seen as much as 50/50... It's all relative

should def tune after...or at least check your A/F
my car ran so lean on the first dyno pull after the intake that we shut it down at about 4000rpm.
but since the car was tuned before, and then tuned after....my 18hp/12ftlbs gain was all iin the intake.
and that wasn't even fancy porting...just 2hrs with a dremel and sandpaper in my garage.

Are we talking about a Fast 78 or Fast 92, Because im talking about a Fast 92 lol... If were talking about a 92mm as I was, you have to take into consideration that this is not a plug in play kind of setup... If your going from a 78mm LS6 intake to a say 92mm Fast intake / TB your going to need a Tune... This intake with tune on stock longblock should yeild 15whp with ease... But if we were talking about a Fast 78 them my mistake you are right, you wont see really any gain...
