Default Introducing Firecore50 Plug wires

Hi guys,

I was approched by several people in the LSx community to find them a good performance plug wire that will hold up to turbo heat, big power and will last without falling apart or the ends pulling off.
And they had to be affordable.

I'm proud to introduce Firecore50 plug wires to the LSx community.

You might have heard the fast guys on here and yellowbullet talking about these wires.

Firecore50 wires are what the big boys run, ProMod, outlaw, Top Fuel dragster, Nascar and even top fuel cars run them.

The wires are $105. plus shipping
A set of metal OEM type heat sheilds are available for $12. for you turbo guys.

Firecore50 plug wires can be custom made if needed, just let us know what you need.

The plug wires can be purchased on our web site
http://www.shop.gforce1320.com/categ...?categoryId=32

Here is the Firecore50 web site so you can snoop around a bit.
www.firecore50.com

Here are some of the details about the Firecore50 wires.
  • Features of Ignition cable:
  • 50 ohms of resistance per foot
  • 100% Kevlar constructed base core
  • Consistent ohms rating throughout wire
  • Ferrite molecular compound used to absorb RFI/EMI
  • Copper/Nickel alloy winding used for superior current flow.
  • 3 1/2 feet of copper/Nickel alloy wound into EVERY inch of cable
  • High temperature silicone FIRST coat used over core
  • High tensile strength fiberglass sleeving bonded to the dielectric layer of silicone
  • ULTRA high temperature / High tear resistant outer jacket bonded over the fiberglass sleeving

Features of Boots & Terminals:
  • All spark plug & distributor boots are heavy wall constructed
  • Extreme 650° spark plug boots available for application specific wire sets
  • 100% Stainless steel terminals used on all Spark plug ends. Even the "Secure Snap-Lock" rings are stainless steel.
  • All Stainless Steel terminals feature a DUAL CRIMP, core and insulating jacket crimp
  • 100% brass distributor terminals used where required by applications

Features of Assembly:
  • Wire sets are cut on automated equipment to ensure accurate lengths in EVERY set
  • ALL boots are assembled by hand. This ensures absolute accurate indexing of the terminals in each boot.
  • All terminals are press-crimped to ensure a consistent crimp, every time
  • Each lead is hand tested for proper ohm reading before put into the box

How's this for real world testing thermal breakdown testing.

Here are some installed photo's and feedback one of my GTO customers sent me.

I bought these to see how they stacked up against the MSD's and the stock GM wires (which I have never had an issue with). My initial impression once I got them was impressive. You can definitely tell a difference in quality between the MSD's the stock wires and these. The attention to detail in hand assembled wires is undeniable. Here is a pic of them straight out of the box.

And here are a couple installed using DEI spark plug wire heat shields. If you want a factory style heat shield, Chris can get you a set in that configuration for a little extra charge.

I had recently tuned in a 650 rpm idle. It has been a labor nearly every day for a couple of weeks to get my GTO to idle that low. I finally got it pretty good and was OK with it. With these wires, it is a completely different idle. It is much smoother and I am extremely happy with it now. I honestly cannot describe how much better it is with these wires vs the stock wires. The MSD's were worse than the stock wires at this point.

Driveability, is about the same. I really can't tell much difference between these and stock wires just cruising around town. My MSD's would make my engine buck, fart, spit, etc. at this point. I usually cruise at 2000rpm and it feels smooth to me.

WOT is where these wires shine. I have been able to add a little extra timing up top without the fear of getting it pulled from burst knock, actual knock, or misfire. I may try a set of hotter plugs and/or open the gap a bit to see the reaction from the engine. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and I'll be buying another set for my Camaro once I get it running again. Definitely a good purchase for the money.
Here are some intalled photo's using the optional heat OEM type heat shields

Did I mention Firecore even makes coil packs.. FireCore coil packs and plug wires on a 3200 hp Procharged Brad Anderson Hemi

Thanks

Nice wires!!!!!

So can you actually yank the wire part where it has the writing "Firecore50" and pull the boot off the spark plug and the clip will not break free and stay on the spark plug tip?

Not pull the boot...pull just the wire..

I ask because there's a couple plugs where there is no way to get your hands on the boot to pull it off the sprak plug. Back two on the passengers side.

great product!
thank you.
boots are very stout compared to other wires.
they also have much shorter ends than the msd wires.
this may help you or hurt you, but it just barely clears my tight header tubes whereas i had to bend the msd pretty good and it was hard to snap it on the plug.
another plus is the wire ends are black, so they look pimp.
pulling the wire off requires more force, but these wires dont feel like they are going to snap when you yank on them.
as the word gets out, i think this will be the wires to run.
i dig um.

Thanks for the order guys!!

Here is the latest Firecore news blip ..

Hi everyone. Well, Schumacher racing did it again. This time, Cory McClenathan won Top Fuel with his FireCores. Great news. He is leadeng the NHRA Top Fuel catregory in points. In fact, all of our customers in T/F are in the top ten. Jack Beckman, Ron Capps, Cory Mac, Tony Shoe and Tim Wilkerson.

We had the pleasure of attending the Chrysler Classic last weekend, and got invited to make some sets in one of our sponsored racers pits. So we loaded up our 2.5 ton press (It's only weighs 300 lbs though) and rolling ignition wire cabinet, and showed up enthusiastically. We hit the gate running, swapping out several racers who still had our 8mm Firecore50's. We replaced them with our new 8.5mm FireCore50 wire. They were all running fine, but some of them have had it on for 3 or 4 years, and after every weekend of abuse, the 8.5 wire is much heartier, especially with open-engined dragsters. The ozone kills the wire, and better safe than sorry. With racing abuse on any regularly-driven racecar, why risk a round of racing by a 10 or 20 dollar lead ? We got approached by 2 Hemi cars, the "Endangered Species" 65 Dodge, and the 65 Dodge that Mike Meeks races. Very nice cars. Well, after seeing what they needed, our Stage 5 sets with the stock hat sets fit the bill. They have both heard of the wires, and wanted to give them a shot. After installing them with each of the owners on Friday, they were confident they had the best ignition wires on the planet. So confident, that they made it all the way to the finals Saturday night , just to race each other !!! Unreal. They each said the wires performed flawlessly, and they are even able to richen up the tune !

Another set of customers we had running them, were our hosts, Larry and Lonnie Smith. Larry already had the 8.5mms, but Lonnie had been wearing our 8mm wires for the last 2 years. I should mention he is one of our most winningest racers. Well, he decided on Friday night, right before the 1/4 finals, to swap to 8.5mms !! Yikes. So with the help of 3 or 4 crew members, we swapped out his 2 almost 3 year old 8mm Firecores with new 8.5mm's. Perfect fit. Without affecting his dial in, he went on to go to the finals facing guess who, his dad, Larry. Lonnie edged him out for the win. On Saturday, he went on to score enough points to win the 10.0 Championship for the third year in a row !

Conveigh some of these stories to your customers. They love hearing other racers winning . I know Koffel's Place has some championships as well. Their Blown B1 Alky Dragster has won dozens and dozens of number 1 qualifiers, and recently has won Summit Motorsport Parks Friday night Chaos. Congrats Dave, Rich, Scott and Susie !! If you guys have any other stories, we'd love to hear of them. There are too many to list that we know of to list in this email.

Our Dealer in Iowa, Gene Hinders, has been in 3 finals in as many races, winning two . Taking the championship 4 straight wins in NMRA drag radial is Jason Lee. Dan Rawls , NMCA ,not only has won , I believe 4 times also, but holds the Renegade Mustang low ET record AND Top Speed record as well. Out of the top 12 Pro Extreme ProMods in the ADRL, We have our wires on at least 6 or 7 of them. Mark and Ryan Micke out of Mick's Performance are our dealer's at those races. They use them on their ProCharged BAE using our FireCore Coil Packs. Mike Janis has them on all 3 of his PSI Blown Brad ANderson Hemi's, Bubba Stanton's Widowmaker Corvette, Cody Barklage, Ellis Vial's BAE, Roth Racing's 41 *****'s, Belcher's, and a half dozen more sets were sold at the Rockingham race.

The word is out, and it's only a matter of short time that we are the number one trusted ignition wire in racing. All of the Schumacher vehicles are using the same FireCore50 wire our sportsman racers are using. Phil told me he is getting calls from other T/F crewchiefs that heard about our wire. We have several of them doing their own tests on them. Let's continue our success by treating each customer like he's a world champion, and convey these stories and personal experience's with them. Each of our dealers race and use FireCore's on their personal vehicles. Tell the customers this.

Good luck finishing the year out racers. Hope you all have oil pressure on your last passes of the year !! Any questions, please call . We are updating our website, so we would love to see pics, hear testimonials, and get feedback..Thanks, Rick and Lindsay Gorski

Oh, check out this great read from our newest dealer, Chris Nichols. He is an LSX specialist, and has already proved himself to be a great dealer. Very wise in tech. info, and has a great line in LSX products.
