ls 6 intake

Is the LS6 intake worth the $ if I am not going to do h/c in the future? IS it a waste of time and $ with my mods?

i read its god for 8-12 rwhp on different modded bolt ons, i woudl say wait to see if the price drops then go for it, i will....

yes its worth it, up to 24rwhp on a h/c setup. check ls1howto.com for the dyno sheet.

Don't buy one right now, though I did notice a few sales going on when the LSX intake was introduced. I say wait and save your money, the LSX intake for sure will be better than the LS6. It's more expensive, but will be better designed and more open to modifications/porting/nitrous. I have an '02 so mine came with an LS6, but I'm sure once the LSX is out and proven, there will be LS6s-a-plenty to be found cheap.

I put the LS6 intake in and it gave me 10 rwhp. See my mods I have a cam and headers so that helps.

You'll gain power with or without other mods. It's just a matter of how much it means to you. The stock manifold is plenty for a lightly modded car but the revised manifold is a step in the right direction.

No doubt the LS6 intake will make a difference...stock or modded...on my stage 2 MTI R heads I went from 410 to 430 w/just the intake.......

Yea man if you have H/C it will be well worth it. I think you should just hold out until the LSX comes out. It looks like its going to be a great intake. Good Luck Man
