problem with cruise control? anyone had this?

problem with cruise control? anyone had this? its a traction control car. the traction control seems to be working fine. but when i engage cruise control it locks up the throttle cable. like its hanging up. no matter what i do i cant get it to let up without turning the car off and goijng under the hood and snapping the throttle blade. anyone got an idea?
