Default What size threads or on O2 sensors?

when i removed my stock exhaust manifolds, the O2 sensor on the drivers side was a PITA to get out.....it backed out a bit, then stopped....the last couple of threads stripped and wouldn't release it.....i finally got it out after cutting the wires and using an impact/deep socket on it.....but now i can't screw an O2 sensor back in and i want to get a tap to clean the first few threads up.....does anyone know what size i would need?....or should i just give them a nice new home at the landfill?
