Head cleaning while on car?
Head cleaning while on car? I pulled my FAST intake off and had a bunch of oil in it so I just bought a catch can set-up and noticed my intake runners on my heads were REALLY nasty from all the oil built up on them. Is there any way to clean the intake runners on the heads while on the car without messing anything up? I was going to take a rag to them with maybe some carb cleaner or a little gas or something but did'nt want to knock anything down into the head as far as alot of dirt or something. Do I even need to worry about cleaning them? Thanks for the help!
I took some rags with seafoam on them and cleaned up my ports and just kept the shop vac next to the port in case anything came loose. I took my intake off again with my rev x catch can and all the ports are clean now.
