Does engine have to come out to install LT headers?
they will only go in from the bottom, your car will need to be quite high to be able to slide them up in. the passenger side isnt bad, should just slide up. the drivers side will depend on just how your car is and what LT's you go with. for my jet hots i had to grind down the block tab only because i couldnt remove the steering shaft. once it was clear it simply slid up.

Front end in the air about 36", unbolt driver's side motor mount (may not be necessary) and get something flat to put on top of the jack so you can push the engine up to allow for more room. It's not impossible, just tedious that's all. Passenger side is not too bad, it's the driver's side that's tricky. Also...don't forget to disconnect the battery. If you don't, stay away from the hot starter wire with the dipstick tube!
