Thoughts on this junkyard build?
Thoughts on this junkyard build? Maybe someone has already thought of this. LQ4/LQ9 block 24x/25x CAM the new FAST 102 intake l92 untouched heads (minus valvetrain upgrades springs/rods...)
Simple swap in an f/y body
Block - 400
l92 heads - 400
CAM - 400
FAST102 - 1000
ValveTrain Upgrade - 400
I may be rough on the prices but you get the idea 2500/3000.00 for a possible 500 RWHP motor (assuming the correct breathing mods are in place...e.g. LTs, CAI...)that could possibly take a 200 shot on a direct port with supporting fuel mods.
or am I just daydreaming?
I just spent a LOT more than this to do a build with expectations of a 9.5 second setup. Now im seeing some of the potential of these heads and seeing the bottleneck has been the intake. 100mm plus has more than fixed that.
