O2 sims needed for race headers??
02 sims needed for race headers?? I'm getting pacesetter long tube race headers w/ out the EGR and Air ports.. i was wondering if i will need 02 sims?? will it hurt performance or do anything more then throw a check engine light?
will it hurt anything to drive around for a month or so without LS1 edit tuning to remove the codes and checks for for the 02 sensors?

There are 2 sets of 02 sensors. The front set are needed and will be provisions for them with the headers. The rear ones are to monitor the effectiveness of the cats and have no affect on a/f ratio.
You basically have 3 options for the rear 02 sensors
1) don't use them, but this will set off check engine lights and codes...does nothing to performance, but annoying
2)use 02 simms
3)delete the rear 02 sensors using LS1edit
I personally would go with 2 or 3, which ever is more convienent for you.
