headers banging?

how fast should i get the banging headers taken care of? on the kmember? is it ok to drive around town? i have poly motor and tranny mounts and im gettin no knock. also where can i find some kinda heat sleve for the plug wires?

It can create false knock, do it as soon as you can.

i concur also i know summit sells heat sleeves check with them...or any of the vendors they could probably hook you up.

yeah i dont get any knock but its the point of somethig hitting that shouldnt hahaim grinding it down right now

i hooked the predator up and no matter hot bad it hit i didnt have any knock. i wish auto meter made a knock gauge lol

i'm not real sure what you mean, so i'm gonna ask. do you have them installed on your car, or do you have them and are waiting to install them? if you don't have them installed then i would put the motor mounts on (the drivers side for sure). i used one on the drivers side and it keeps my headers from hitting at all. holds the motor real still. if you have them installed and you hitting the k-member, then you need to go ahead and notch it. good luck!

yeah motor mounts and tranny mounts are in and the k member is ground down. why is that funny about the gauge? i think it would be nice to have something in the car to let u know if u have knock or not....i hate having to pull the predator out once a week and checking it....
