Its really impossible to answer a question like this as all shops charge different rates, and some shops are faster/better than others. You can save yourself a lot of money doing it yourself, all it takes are basic tools and a day of work.

For the price of install you could buy the tools and do it your self. You would save money, have tools to show for it and have the satisfaction of doing it your self.

i agree with all the people who said do it yourself. it amazes me how quick people are willing to just throw there money away and underestimate there ablitlity to do there own work. all you need is some basic hand tools, jack/jack stands, and patiences.

but if you have 300+ to have someone else do it they by all means go for it, but that 300+ could go toward a new cam or something

no you dont need a lift. like i said, all you need is jack/jack stands and basic hand tools. thats it. access to a lift is a very nice plus but its not neccessry. do a search as there are several threads pertaining to LT installs. depending on what brand you go with will determine the kind of problems that may arise. for the most parts its pretty straight forward.

A good idea would be to meet up with some people from the board ,get in good with them and then make em help ya. I bet youd be supprised how many people here do 90% fo their own repairs and up grades.
