Default Vacuum Pump Setup

Im thinking about putting a vacuum pump or some kind of evac system on the car like a pana-vac. What are my options?

Caddy 4/6/8 setup,
Ford stuff for the lightning (I think),
and Moroso belt driven setup.

Do a search there is info here and there.

I have the first thing, but it's not installed yet.

The pan-evac system is designed to use with open headers, as in a full race car.

Also, I'll be trying the Moroso pump within a few weeks. Can't get a straight answer on whether it is reliable enough to be daily driven.

Anyone got that link to that SSO or SBSO electric evac setup that was posted two months ago?

My caddy 4/6/8 is electric, and that SBSO looks like the same thing.

Moroso is good, belt driven, mounts where you had a/c I would think, no idea for street use I would think okay

John, don't bother with any electric set up. They don't pull enough volume. It does however keep my intake clean from oil.

Yeah Todd, but I don't wanna lose my AC. I'll try the electric versions. I'm not looking for a hp gain as much as simply venting the crankcase.

Yeah that SSBC one looks like the old GM Caddy pump.

I've seen some #'s on these style electric pumps and they might be better than nothing but might not pull the vacuum that some folks want.

Moroso belt drive one is probably what Mikey uses.

I think the kit cost around $300??? It keeps the intake claean but didn't show a horsepower gain. There is always a little oil in the catch can, easy to drain. I was hoping for a power gain but oh well.
