Default Mmm... every guy loves a nice, hot, wet...

belt? My belt squeaks when it rains outside.

I've got an ss hood on my z, and it's functional so when it rains, it pipes water through and throws it onto my belt. Also, when I first fire it up in the rain, i get steam off the headers. Near as I can figure, the higher cowl area on the hood lets some water drain in.

It's only a faint squeal, but it's enough to drive me up the wall. Anybody else ever have this issue? This is the second time it's done this when it's rained. I've got the stock belt on it right now.

Time to go gator belt?

So is that just the cold/wet rubber not grabbing the pulleys like it should? Would some belt conditioner/soap help?

i think soap would make it slip even more, but who knows give it a shot and let us know how it turns out.
