Thinner Head Gaskets

OK here's the deal, a buddy of mine just bought a 2001 Camaro SS M6. Turns out it has a blown head gasket so he's pulling both heads and having them checked out and resurfaced. Once his heads are back from the machine shop and everything is good, what thinner head gasket's should he use to bump the compression up a little and where should he get them ? Thanks

I'd say get a set of cometics and get 0.042" gaskets as long as you have either a stock cam or a relatively small one, less than 224/224 to be safe.
