Default Question about ARP Head Bolts.

Long story short, installed the bolts only lubing the threads and not the washer and under head of bolt. My question is can I remove the head and start over completely or will I have to replace the head gaskets? Everything is new (bolts, heads, head gaskets) Im using GM metal head gaskets. Or just take one bolt at a time out and properly lube.

I might just be over reacting since this is my first time doing this.... Any suggestions would be great...

You can re use GM's MLS gaskets so your fine to lift the heads and do what you want. Has the engine been started? does it have coolant in it?

Engine has no coolant and hasnt been started. After I torqued the heads I was concerned so I quit working.

One bolt at a time will be fine. Just snug each bolt as you lube and install them, then do your torque steps once all the bolts are back in.

X2 ^^^

If there is no worry of coolant leaking with removing bolts, I would just crack them all loose, lube each one... one by one and then retorque them in sequence.

If you haven't run the engine with those gaskets, you do not need to worry about replacing them, even if you pull the heads all the way off to do this job.

Thanks for the responses, I did one bolt at a time and torqued to specs!
