spark plug wire question

spark plug wire question what would a car run like with a spark plug wire loose? how about two? im talking about being loose on the spark plug end, where the metal sleeve fits over the actual plug...im only asking because i just installed a set of pacesetters, and im running them open....i know my o2s are going crazy and my a/f ratio is probably whacked out..... i attributed these two things to the loss of power. when i get on the gas hard, the car wants to bog and sputter...kinda hesitate, instead of letting out its power. this happens at anywhere from 2300-3000 rpms......THEN, last night i was tinkering around in my engine, and i bumped into one of the spark plug wires. it just fell out. i know they shouldnt just fall out, cuz they were a bitch to get out in the first place. another one on cylinder #8 looks a little loose too. ill have to get to that one the next time i put my car on a lift. could this have been a problem? what would running with loose spark plugs do?
sounds like you found the culprit. my friend had the same problem, he had a set of those taylor spark plug wires and from what ive seen they were junk, the metal connectors inside the wire that goes over the plug gets stuck onto the spark plug when he tried to pull the wires off of the plug.. I also live about 15minutes from summitracing and i was looking at their demo motors and alot of them had taylor wires on them , so i decided to pull the wires off the spark plugs in their show room, and sure enough the connector was stuck to the plug and pulled right out of the wire..
