Default Catch can installation question

My car is a 98 Trans Am.....I just bought my catch can and the instructions are kinda vague. Attached is a picture of my PCV setup. If im correct....the catch can goes after the PCV vavle between the intake connection? As you can see....My PCV hose starts at the drivers side rear valve cover then "Y"s off with a hose going the the passengers rear valve cover then the other hose containing the PCV vavle runs along between the intake and the vavle cover to the intake connection. Could someone please tell me the correction location where to cut and install my catch can? I bought it from WS6store. Thanks

You have a strange setup like I do. Early 1998 cars had the PCV Valve in a funny place.

Take out the PCV valve (might have to cut the hose leading up to it with some robust scissors (cut on the firewall side)). Run a hose from where the PCV valve was into the top of the catch can.

Run the hose from the side of the catch can to the intake manifold. Put the PCV valve between the can and the intake manifold.

Hope this helps!

After some ongoing research I also found this illustration which is the same setup as you mentioned we have....would this work without cutting out the PCV valve?

I believe that it would work, although I would not do this.

I don't have any definitive proof, but I don't think it would be a good idea.

If you can, take the PCV out and put it between the intake and the can.

Ok.....I will do that. It was just confusing hearing people trying to explain it and having this weird setup kind of contradicted what people were saying...LOL.

It should work perfectly too.

I was confused as well when I went to do it. It doesn't help that our PCV valves were in a strange place.

Good luck!
