Default For anyone looking at LPP headers , here are some Pics

I just recieved my LPP headers with Catted Y. Here are some pics of the headers, Catted Y and gaskets and clamps it comes with. I am using GM gaskets, stage 8 bolts and also band clamps. I will be installing them shortly and will post pics installed once I get it done. Not too bad for $800 shipped.

I will update this post once I get them on. I tried searching and really didnt see any good pics of them not installed. Also it doesnt say on there website that it comes with gaskets or clamps, which it does, but I am going with something better.

I've been looking for pictures like these for quite a while, thank you for posting them.

Could you take one of the welds too if you have a minute?

I got excited about the new headers so I put them in. I do not have the tranny in the car at this time, monster level 3 will arrive tomorrow.

Fitment issues:

Passenger side - had to grind the tab off the block, other than than, fit great.

Drivers side - Had to grind the K member and motor mount, just took some metal off the surface. once the tranny is in, it should tilt the motor towards the front of the car, thus moving the pipe away from the mount. right now theres about a gap of a 1/16".

Both headers slid right in with the plugs on.

The y needs to be adjusted a bit to bring it up, there is about an inch between the pipe and the floor on the passenger side. The drivers side tucks great.

I am having trouble loading pics, says there too big, no clue why because they meet the forum rules. If you guys want some more pics , send me a pm and I can send them to ya.

The Y pipe hangs about as low as the stock one. Although my stock y pipe was like 2" away from the floorboard for some reason.

What kind of cats are those? Spun metal cats or traditional hi-flow?

Seeing as they require a good amount of adjustment to fit I think I'd rather not grind at my stock parts and just get headers that fit. I will admit, they do look real nice otherwise!

for a cleaner look toss those u-bolt clamps away and go to your local big rig shop(Mack, Peterbuilt, etc...) and get some wide band clamps. Make for a cleaner look and a heck of alot easier remove and reinstall for the y-pipe. Just shooting that out there lol

Headers look sweet BTW

Alright, I have the headers adjusted and y pipe. All I have to say is LPP has great customer service via email. I rarely get time to work on the camaro so I was up late last night, have 2 children, till around 2. I was having problems with the Y pipe hitting the fuel lines and torque arm.

After some emails back and forth and I sent him pics and he sent me some of his installed. He determined I needed to remove the factory exhaust support, the big black one. I just removed it and now everything is great.

All I have to say is Carl at LPP is great, headers fit pretty good and y pipe fits great now that i have it adjusted. I also got the drivers side header not to hit motor mount by lifiting up on the end of the collector.

Is your torque arm stock?

I have the BMR fully adjustable torque arm with the reloc. bracket and right now I'm having issues with a knocking sound that is coming from it (looking into that problem asap) and don't feel like having anymore issues...
