Default GTO oil pan help

I bought a GTO pan off of Ebay for my swap and it has a hole in it for the dipstick tube. My Fbody LS1 has a hole in the block where the dipstick tube goes. I ordered a tube, dipstick, and windage tray for a 2004 GTO from the dealer and am starting to think this is a later model GTO pan, and different from the 2004 model that I ordered the new parts for. What can I block the hole in my LS1 with to use the later model pan if this is the case. I was told that the pans were the same on all GTO's. Any help?
