is it worth it?
I have a 01 SS with a cam 231/237 595/605 112lsa running with full exhaust and bolt ons. would I gain anything from porting my stock tb and maf or not? I dont want to put a bigger intake on at the moment because I want to swap out the heads at the same time. I just want to get a little more out of it for spring.

Do the TB but don't touch the MAF and you'll be happy. If you mess with the MAF you are just asking for problems with idle and tuning the car if you do in the future could be a nightmare.

You'll notice better throttle response from the ported TB. I have the coolant bypass also but you won't notice anything from that. Just helps keep the TB cooler and it 'might' cool the air just a little over the way it's all set up stock.

There is definitely some to be gained from porting the TB. You might not feel it in the car but you can see it if you were to do a back to back dyno comparison. Typically it is around 4-5 RWHP depending on who is porting it. Do the coolant bypass while you are porting the TB. It's a simple task to do and it only takes a couple minutes. I wouldn't port the MAF. At the point you are wanting to run a bigger MAF, go with a SLP 85mm MAF. They work well are are pretty reliable. Let us know if you need anything!
