SLP Lid Help

SLP Lid Help

I have a chance to buy a SLP lid for $50. Problem is that it came off a 99. I have a 2000 Trans am that according to SLP's website takes a different lid with a hole for the air tube? to fit in. Can i make the 99 lid fit my 00 by just drilling out the hole? Any help would be appreciated.Also would i need any additional tubing/grommets to make this work?

A lid for a 99 still have the hole as well, its just capped. If you cant get the cap off, I'd just get rid of the worthless AIR system (what the hose running into the lid is for), or just put a small cheap filter from Autozone or O'Reileys and a zip tie on the end in place of running it into the lid.

Thanks man, I will pick it up friday. I will break out the dremel if i can't get the end cap off.

Really i wouldn't do that. I personally took my air/egr off so all that stupid useless crap went goodbye. If you can't get the cap off, just trim the hose shorter down in the fuse box area somewhere, and throw a small filter on the end. They're cheap, and you won't hack up your lid. Here's a shot of one of the blue spectre ones autozone carries they have red too.
