Default Negative effects from removing AC belt?

Just replaced my squeaky serpentine belt and now the little AC belt behind it is taking a crap. Since i wont need AC till summertime will it hurt anything just to remove the belt completely? Any extra hp?

You need to keep that belt on the car if you don't want a/c problems next summer.
The shaft seal on the compressor is lubricated by the oil inside, if the compressor sits idle for too long the seal will dry out and it may leak when you start using it again.
Also the only way to defrost the inside windows during the winter is if the a/c comes on , this is switched on when you turn the knod to defrost.

I agree it is good to activate the compressor at least once a month if possible.
