Kooks LT with Jet Hot y pipe

Kooks LT with Jet Hot y pipe Or just in general. I was wonder if many companies headers will fit a different companies Y pipe.
Example Kooks long tube with 3 inch collectors to a Jet hot Off road Y pipe 3 inch.
Example Kooks long tube with 3 inch collectors to a Jet hot Off road Y pipe 3 inch.
The best thing I can advise you to do is find a local exhaust shop that can build you what you want. A couple of reasons:
1. You wont have a floorboard banging pipe.
2. You get what you want.
3. You can have slip fit or flanged. (Flanged is easier to work with IMO)
4. No shipping on a big box.
5. Sometimes cheaper.
To answer your question though: Some off the shelf y's work with some setups and some dont. In some instances people get a Pacesetter Y-pipe and headers and they dont hardly fit at all. Sometimes its a glove fit and you would think they were destined for each other all along. People do get lucky. Better safe than lucky though. Price may be cheaper if you factor out shipping costs in the end.

Thanks, I called around there is no exhaust companies around me that does mandrel bent piping. That is the down fall, needs to look clean. But Kooks Y pipe is only 300 and I know it would fit and look clean. So that is the issue that I have. Plus that i have the Y pipe now.
