intake manifold questions
I believe MAP is an accronym for Manifold Absolute Pressure, so by the sound of it, it must monitor the ammount of air pressure inside the intake. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

It makes yer engine run ok LOL just be sure and hook it back up...it moniters the engine vaccum and the computer uses this info. You didn't unplug the sensor so as you pulled the manifold it tore the wiring off. Honestly YOU need real help when you tackle a big job like this. I can tell your next few posts are going to be painful ones.
lol yeah i know i shoulda looked into some write-ups before. when i was doing it, its was about 15 degrees out and i was in a rush so i wasnt really checking behind it. i just gotta figure out the order of the wires as they go into the map sensor plug and get a new oil pressure sending unit and i should be good.
