best fast92 porting What intake will make more power, a vengeance ported 92 with a 96mm TB or a mamofied 92. Ive heard Tony say that the TB is not the restriction in these and he is considered one of the best there is. Why bother with the 96 TB. Does anybody know if there is a gain in this or which intake would be the better choice. This is going on a 427 11.7scr w. tfs 235 cam around 250 .650

I have a Vengeance ported FAST 92 mm and love it. You are correct about the tb and possible restriction myth. There is definately inclonclusive info out there. However my intake is ported and opened up to match a 95 mm tb. My next visit to Vengeance since we didn't have time the last visit we may do a backwards test on the tb. Re baseline the car, and then swap out the 95mm tb and add the 90 mm tb tweak the tune and then redyno. Should be interesting but don't hold your breath. My car is 99.999% done and my next trip to Georgia will be more of a social visit rather then a business trip. I will however provide my car for testing if Ron still wants to do it. That way there will be accurate info, at least for a 402. Your 427 build may benefit from the larger tb, not sure though. I know the 90 mm tb's are a lot cheaper then this new bigger line of tb's that have recently hit the market, and if they make the same rwhp its hard to justify the cost. Too late for me but could help others that are on the fence. With that being said I know a few guys on here with some pretty wild h/c 346's with 105mm tbs that are swearing there is a huge improvement over the 90's in power and throttle response.
