2 questions
2 questions I got 2 things going on here?
1st: Have a leak from the power steering pump. It looks like it's coming from the hoses. I see that they sell replacement gasket and O-ring kits. Anybody ever just replaced the O-rings and gasket or just replace the whole thing?
2nd: It may be tied into the above problem. When I start up and get moving, My check gauges light comes on as I rev up and move thru the gears. Only during high rev. I don't go into the red, but I'm shifting at 4500 - 5000 rpm
Any ideas?
It only happens after the first start up. It goes like this:
I start car, leave driveway, to get out of my sub-division, I cruise in 2nd for about a 1/2 mile to get to the entrance, we are on a semi-major 2 lane road, so there's traffic in the morning, I some times need to get on it to pull out. When I do the light flutters on and the gauges look like:
water - not even warmed up yet
oil -pressure is above 40 almost 60
volts - flux between 15 to 12
gas - irrelevant
on a hard pull oil and volts flux a lot and it is only when the car seems really cold.
